I have always been interested in culture and human aspects of the firm. This book was highly recommended by my teacher on strategic management as his favorite on change management. It's an easy read on the human aspectsof change and is helped by a novel structure in the book (each subsectionof the chapter reads like an individual chapter, which assists the droppingand picking up). It's no nonsense. Anyone who liked 'The Fifth Discipline',will much appreciate this as well. I hope to read more of this typematerial.

Review of JSP: The Complete Reference (Paperback)

I'm currently an Internet Software Engineer, using primarily Servlets and EJB technologies, and I was hoping to find a book that could give me a good reason to consider using JSPs. THIS IS THE BOOK. I now completely understand the purpose of JSPs, and where they fit into the Java Architecture. You will too, once you read this book.

Phil Hanna has compiled a superbly organized and useful book. He builds on concepts logically, and provides awesome examples to help the info sink in. (I can't over-emphasize the usefulness of the examples in this book!) The examples of using JSP Tag Extensions are particularly wonderful. This is perhaps the most confusing and powerful part of JSPs, and Mr. Hanna makes it SO much easier to understand.

If you want to learn JSPs and add them to your arsenal of programming wizardry, look no further! I wish that all of the technical books in my library were written this well.

Review of Upgrading and Troubleshooting Networks: The Complete Reference (Book/CD-ROM package) (Paperback)

When I look for a book on networking I want a book that will help not only for Microsoft but Novell. The Complete Reference lives up to its name and gives you a wealth of information to make the job of network technician a whole lot easier.

Packed into this 900 page-networking world ofinformation is information from soup to nuts. Starting off with the OSImodel, you move on the hardware, protocols, operating systems, connectionand directory services and administration...

Withfigures, pictures, tables, diagrams and notes to help you understand eventhe most complex of issues, the author presents the information in a clearand detailed way that will help the beginner to the expert. The authorpresents the information in an organized fashion from beginning toend.

The book should have included a cd-rom with utilizes for Novell,Microsoft and Unix. The book seems to be as up to date as any book I haveread and the information seems to very accurate. Overall this is one book Iwill have in my technical reference library.

Review of How to Do Everything with Your Visor (Paperback)

This is all the information that should be included when you buy your visor!Most companies now package help files on computers and do not include written documentation.I suppose it is cheaper.But shame on them!This is what should be included with the purchase... I had my visor for a few months and this booked helped me with things I didn't know.Excellent information written in a pleasing, even humorous, manner equals a very thourough readable book.I would go so far to say that this is indispensable.I have the book... the dummies guide to the visor and while that was helpful this is much more so.The book for visors "i didnt know you could do that.." is not helpful at all.It is mostly a list of shareware links that are easy to find on the internet or in the two books i meantioned above. Save yourself some wondering and scratching your head...if you have the visor....buy this book!
